What a home policy can include
Dwelling
Rebuilds or repairs the structure of your home after a covered loss like fire, wind, or a burst pipe.
Other structures
Covers your detached garage, shed, and fence.
Personal property
Replaces your belongings, from furniture to electronics. Replacement-cost coverage avoids depreciation deductions.
Loss of use
Pays for a place to stay and extra living costs if your home can't be lived in during repairs.
Personal liability
Protects you if someone is hurt on your property or you're responsible for damage to someone else's.
Optional endorsements
Water backup, scheduled jewelry, equipment breakdown, and more, depending on the carrier.
Coverage varies by carrier and policy. We'll walk you through exactly what yours includes.
How we quote your home insurance
We start with the details that drive rebuilding cost: square footage, construction, roof age, heating system, and updates. Then we compare carriers on both price and coverage, including the endorsements that matter in New England, like water backup.
What affects your price
Your home’s age and construction, roof condition, claims history, deductible, and distance to a fire hydrant all play a part. Bundling with auto often helps, but not always with the same carrier, so we compare both ways.

Home insurance questions
Does home insurance cover flooding?
No. Standard home policies exclude flood damage from rising water. Flood coverage is a separate policy, available through the National Flood Insurance Program or private carriers. We can quote both.
How much dwelling coverage do I need?
Enough to rebuild your home at today's construction costs, which is often different from its market value or purchase price. We use replacement-cost estimates to set it.
Can you work with my mortgage lender?
Yes. We send the binder and evidence of insurance directly to your lender or closing attorney, and handle mortgagee changes when you refinance.

Ready to see what you could save?
It takes about three minutes, and there's no cost or obligation.
